Behold - God is near
Our Pastor is preaching on the word “behold” this Christmas season and I am going through an advent devotional based on the word behold. In my devotion it says that this word is used in the New Testament “when a thing is specified which is unexpected yet sure” or seems “impossible and yet occurs”
If you are going through a rough time the above quote by Charles Spurgeon is true. He is intimately involved in your life and he knows exactly where you are and what is going on with you.
In the devotion that I am doing it challenges us to use this word behold to be:
.... A trigger to reflect on your blessings even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
....A response to deflect the stresses of your circumstances
.... A tool to log the “God came near moments” (when you reflect on what He has done for you already to help you remember He is with you now.
I don’t know if anyone else needed to hear these truths today but I sure did ️
